Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Water Infrastructure team in early 2027. This role is suited to recent graduates or early-career engineers who are looking to build their technical capability while contributing to meaningful water and wastewater projects.
You will work alongside experienced engineers and other disciplines, gaining exposure to a wide range of projects while developing your design, reporting, and site experience.
What you’ll do
- Support the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Prepare design calculations and supporting documentation using first principles
- Assist with design reports and technical specifications
- Contribute to construction monitoring and site activities
- Work closely with senior engineers and seek feedback to support your development
- Ensure work meets relevant standards and PDP quality processes
- Support project delivery within agreed timeframes and budgets
- Build relationships with internal teams and clients.
What you’ll bring
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university
- Open to new graduates and candidates with up to 2 years’ relevant experience, including internships or project work
- An Interest in water or infrastructure engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail and a structured approach to work
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
