Intermediate – Senior Consultant – Infrastructure Advisory

Pattle Delamore Partners Limited (PDP) is a leading environmental, engineering, and advisory consultancy with a nationwide presence. We’re tackling major infrastructure challenges in New Zealand and seeking a driven consultant to join our Infrastructure Advisory team.

About the Role

This position suits early to mid-career professionals eager to work on strategic, planning, investment, asset management, and regulatory projects within the water sector. You’ll support senior advisors, manage specific tasks, and help define project direction, requiring sound judgment and adaptability.

As part of our team, you will:

• Advise stakeholders in local and central government and water utilities on infrastructure planning, investment, and strategy.
• Translate complex technical, financial, and regulatory information into clear advice.
• Move between detailed analysis and broader system perspectives to deliver actionable recommendations.
• Support business growth through quality service and strategic bids.
• Collaborate across PDP disciplines to leverage expertise.
• Prepare polished written and visual materials.

What You Will Bring

• Initiative, curiosity, and accountability.
• Strong communication skills for simplifying complex concepts.
• Structured thinking, with an interest in systems and strategy.
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving issues.
• Quick learning and application of new ideas.
• 2–10 years’ experience in consulting or infrastructure roles.
• Degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Policy, Science, Asset Management, or related fields.
• Consulting or advisory experience is preferred; water sector knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
