Senior Engineering Geologist

About the role

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a motivated and skilled Senior Engineering Geologist to join our team in Auckland. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative geotechnical solutions across a diverse range of projects. Your expertise will drive outcomes that truly make a difference.

  • Plan and carry out site investigations for projects such as slope instability, pipelines, landfills and building foundations;
  • Conduct engineering geological model development, slope stability modelling and liquefaction assessments;
  • Carry out remedial works design, construction supervision and monitoring systems.
  • Write technical reports;
  • Project management including co-ordinating subcontractors and liaising with regulators and client contacts;
  • Service external clients directly or provide specialist input to projects across other PDP workgroups and regions in the areas of slope instability, pipeline route selection/construction, foundations/dams/landfills, as well as wastewater reticulation, stormwater disposal and landfills.

What you’ll bring

  • Degree in Engineering Geology or Engineering with geotechnical specialisation;
  • We require 3 years’ minimum experience in geotechnical investigations;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organisational skills;
  • Creative thinking to find innovative and sound solutions for our clients;
  • A collegial, team-player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
