Senior Environmental Engineer
You will make sure that deliveries comply with the relevant standards and specifications and assist in building our water infrastructure capabilities by delivering highly technical and innovative design solutions for our clients.
About the Role
- Promote PDP values to clients by delivering high-quality and innovative technical solutions.
- Carry out investigation works, hydrological and hydraulic analysis, design development, detailed design, tender and construction monitoring of complex three waters infrastructure projects in compliance with the required technical standards, specifications, and guidelines.
- Particular experience with large scale stormwater management and treatment; infrastructure design projects would be an advantage.
- Check design calculations, drawings, reports and other documentation prepared by junior engineers.
- Lead, mentor and support the junior engineers working on three waters infrastructure and water resources engineering projects.
- Manage and deliver projects ensuring that all deliverables meet client expectations and are within the agreed scope, budget and timelines.
- Ensure that all deliveries comply with the required health & safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Ensure that all internal health & safety, quality and project financial systems are up to date.
- Ensure project profitability by effective time management and flowing the agreed scope including identifying and communicating any departures or scope changes well in advance.
- Develop your own technical competencies (Continuous Professional Development) and assist the development of technical competencies of team members by carrying out internal technical presentations.
- Support business development and profile-raising activities including conference papers and presentations.
- Develop effective relationships with other internal workgroups and find ways to assist in their projects, including proactively managing the relationships.
Skills and Experience
- Degree, in Civil or Environmental Engineering from a well-recognised university.
- 5+ years’ experience in a consulting environment.
- Full Membership status or demonstration of being able to obtain Full Membership through a recognised accreditation (e.g. CPEng, or equivalent international accreditation).
- Good interpersonal skills – ability to communicate clearly.
- Excellent written report writing skills.
- Committed and proactive approach with a high standard of safety leadership.
- Ability to work on several projects at a time.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Self-starter.
- Professional approach to work.
