Luke is a Technical Director in the Auckland office, bringing over 20 years of experience delivering complex geotechnical and civil engineering solutions across New Zealand. He is a specialist mine and quarry geotechnics, as well as landfill design, construction, and operations. His expertise includes geological and geotechnical investigations, design with geosynthetics, slope stability and rockfall assessment, geohazard management, ground support design, and stabilisation works.
Luke provides strategic technical leadership across a wide range of projects, including earthworks design, geotechnical risk assessments, open pit and overburden landform design, mine waste and tailings management, embankment dams, and site closure planning. He has led multidisciplinary teams through all project phases, from feasibility and consenting through to construction and operational support.
As Technical Director, Luke plays a key role in leading and mentoring junior engineers and geologists within the Auckland office, fostering technical excellence, quality, practical problem solving, and professional development across the team. He is known for taking a pragmatic approach, clear communication, and ability to deliver solutions that meet both regulatory and client requirements.
