PDP led a coastal processes assessment to provide design water level and wave conditions for concept and preliminary wharf designs for the Akaroa Wharf replacement. This involved considering the latest coastal hazards and adaptation guidance and evaluating previous works of preliminary design conditions. PDP undertook a coastal geomorphology/ coastal processes assessment, analysis of wind and waves, and considered the potential impacts of climate change on design conditions.
