Due Diligence Investigations
PDP has extensive experience undertaking contaminated land due diligence investigations to support the sale and acquisition of commercial and industrial properties across New Zealand. The purpose of the investigations is to highlight documented environmental contamination conditions, regulatory obligations/requirements and compliance risks, providing clients with a clear understanding of potential liabilities prior to purchase.
Tight timeframes often surround the property transfer windows and PDP are able to leverage off our large nationwide team to complete investigations quickly and on time. Investigations start with a detailed desktop review which includes collating the available site information related to contaminated land and environmental risks and producing high-quality summary reports. We participate in the collation and review of technical Q&A. Where required, we follow up with intrusive investigations to characterise soil and groundwater quality, providing clients with an understanding of baseline conditions prior to site occupation.
PDP’s national presence also ensures cost-effective, timely site work occurs and we can utilise local knowledge of the district and regional authority rules, ensuring clients have a clear understanding of regulatory obligations.
