PDP has been undertaking a significant resource re-consenting package for the Russell Wastewater Treatment Plant for the Far North District Council (FNDC). This opportunity was borne out of excellent relationship building by our team. PDP’s work includes consenting strategy, planning, stakeholder engagement, engineering feasibility designs and long-term Best Practicable Option, assessment of environmental effects, and technical reports from our groundwater, coastal, and water quality teams to support the re-consenting. Our Māori Advisory team added value to our normal suite of services, assisting FNDC with initiating their relationship with tangata whenua with potential interests in the area. Services included organising the initial hui on marae with each of the key hapū and preparing a iwi/hapū stakeholder communication plan.
