PDP supported Wellington City Council in developing the Climate Adaptation Options Catalogue. This catalogue outlines various options to manage, moderate and cope with the effects of climate change, particularly addressing risks from flooding, coastal inundation, and landslides. It follows the PARA framework (Protect, Accommodate, Retreat, Avoid) across six categories:
- buildings, infrastructure
- stormwater
- nature-based solutions
- hard protection
- strategic planning
As part of the Council’s Community Climate Adaptation Planning Programme, it enhances access to information on adaptation options for consideration in community adaptation planning for climate disruption.
