Recruitment Privacy Statement

 

Pattle Delamore Partners Limited (referred to as “PDP”, “we”, “us” or “our”) are committed to protecting the privacy of our candidates throughout the recruitment process. This Recruitment Privacy Statement should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Statement and outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information relating to our recruitment activities in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. 

Personal information we may collect 

In addition to the personal information detailed in our Privacy Statement, we may collect the following types of personal information from you during the recruitment process: 

  • Your name and contact information including your title, email address, postcode, address, phone number and date of birth. 
  • Employment history, qualifications, transcripts, professional memberships and training information. 
  • Identification documents, such as your driver’s license or passport. 
  • Information regarding criminal convictions, offences or the like and information pertaining to your driving history and insurance information. 
  • Immigration information such as visa documentation. 
  • Health information including vaccination status, consent to vaccinations or health records for specific roles. 
  • Information provided during interviews or assessments. 
  • Any other information you provide to us as part of your application. 

We may, with your consent, collect the following personal information from third parties: 

  • Confirmation of qualifications, trainings or professional memberships. 
  • References from referees or information regarding work history or performance. 
  • Financial or credit check information. 
  • Criminal record or background checks. 

We may also collect additional information with your consent or as otherwise permitted by law. 

Use of your personal information 

In addition to the use of personal information detailed in our Privacy Statement, we may collect and use your personal information for the following purposes: 

  • To assess your suitability for employment with us. 
  • To verify your qualifications, experience, and references. 
  • To conduct background checks, where applicable. 
  • To communicate with you about your application and the recruitment process. 
  • To comply with insurance, legal and regulatory requirements, including role specific health and safety requirements. 
  • For other business operation purposes. 

We may also use your personal information for other purposes, either after notifying you at the time of collection or where those uses are otherwise permitted by law. 

Sharing your personal information 

In addition to the terms of the Privacy Statement, to the extent permitted by applicable law, we may disclose your personal information to: 

  • Referees and previous employers for reference checks. 
  • Background check providers. 
  • Our people involved in the recruitment process. 
  • Legal, insurers and regulatory authorities, as required by law. 
  • Third-party service providers who assist us with recruitment processes. 

We may also need to share your information with trusted third parties to carry on our business. We endeavour to only share your personal information with third parties where we have notified you at time of collection, as permitted by law, or as set out in this Statement. 

PDP will never sell any of your personal information to third parties. 

Retention of your personal information 

In addition to the terms of our Privacy Statement, with your consent, we may retain your recruitment information for a specified period. This allows us to consider you for any future relevant roles. 

Your privacy rights 

You have certain rights in respect of your personal information, including the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. To exercise your rights or if you have any questions or concerns about the privacy of your personal information, or would like to report a suspected or potential data breach please contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@pdp.co.nz. 

If you are not satisfied with how we manage your personal information or response to your privacy request, you may have a right to lodge a complaint with the Privacy Commissioner:
