Senior Water Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a technical Water Engineer with not just the expertise, but the charisma and passion to join our Tauranga Water team. This is your chance to contribute to high-profile water projects (wastewater, water supply and stormwater) delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that benefit both our clients and the environment while helping lead and inspire a dynamic team of engineers.

  • Provide technical leadership, offering strategic insights and innovative solutions.
  • Expand PDP’s offerings by building strong relationships and driving business development.
  • Plan, write and review technical reports while contributing technical expertise to engineering designs.
  • Oversee Contract management including cost estimation, tender preparation and construction management.
  • Help oversee and build a team of highly capable engineers.
  • Maintain high levels of quality, safety and risk management.
  • Play a key leadership position within the company where you will help shape the direction of the business.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone who stands out, both technically and personally:

  • Degree in Civil, Environmental or Natural Resource Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience.
  • Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng) qualified or at least working towards.
  • Proficient in engineering project management.
  • A vibrant, engaging personality that motivates teams and builds lasting client relationships.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Creative thinking to find innovative and sound solutions for our clients.
