Our passionate rōpū of tangata whenua brings together expertise in te ao Māori, te reo me ōna tikanga, Te Tiriti, mātauranga Māori, western science, and engineering.
This allows us to confidently navigate the interface of different worldviews, ensuring projects appropriately incorporate both mātauranga Māori and western scientific perspectives while meeting regulatory requirements. Effective engagement is the centre of what we do.

We serve as intermediaries between our clients and tangata whenua, facilitating respectful and productive engagement processes. By representing our client’s interests while fostering genuine dialogue and understanding, we aim to build trust and cultivate positive relationships.
Supporting Tangata Whenua to engage with organisations
We offer engagement services on behalf of tangata whenua, assisting them in effectively gathering information and communicating their perspectives, values, and environmental priorities to various businesses, organisations and markets. We also offer support for preparing proposals and funding applications. Through transparent and inclusive communication, we promote alignment of goals and aspirations, leading to collaborative solutions that embed tangata whenua values.
Specialist Tangata Whenua Advisory
Our team provides expert guidance in cultural competency, te reo me onā tikanga, mātauranga māori, Te Tiriti obligations, and environmental statutory requirements focused on te taiao. We empower clients with the knowledge and tools to navigate te ao Māori and engage effectively with tangata whenua and cultural protocols.
