Simon has over 16 years’ experience in project management and statutory planning across regulatory organisations, water and wastewater providers, and environmental consultancy. He has worked both independently and within multi‑disciplinary teams, acting as project manager and technical specialist on complex environmental and infrastructure projects.
His expertise spans water resources management, infrastructure development, resource consent processing, and policy preparation and submissions, including consultation with councils and tāngata whenua. Simon has advised on a wide range of projects, from small‑scale proposals to regionally significant activities, including water supply schemes, municipal and industrial wastewater discharges, local government infrastructure, quarrying, and industrial operations.
A key strength of Simon’s practice is providing strategic planning advice and undertaking due diligence to help clients understand legislative requirements, manage environmental risk, and make informed decisions about activities that interact with the environment.
